Isaiah prophesied there would be a day that “dumb dogs” (NLT – The leaders of my people – The Lord’s watchmen, his shepherds) will not bark and give warning for the danger to Jerusalem. He said they are silent watchdogs that give no warning when danger comes!
2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” I am continuing the teaching series “Where Are The Wallbuilders”…
Nehemiah 1:1-11 (KJV), “The words of Nehemiah…in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace, 2) That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem. 3) And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire. 4) And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven, 5) And said, I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God (ESV: “the great and awesome God”), that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments: 6) Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned.
7) We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses… But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there. 10)Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand. 11) O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.”
When we talk about the gates and the walls, they are the foundations and they are the things that keep the enemy out… gates are access, It’s allowing ingress or egress, entering or exiting. A gate is “a hinged barrier used to close an opening in a wall, fence, or hedge.” They allow what goes in and what comes out.
Nehemiah says, how are God’s people? And how is God’s place? And that’s a question I want you to continually ask yourself— We have a responsibility to take a stand for America and for the nation of Israel and stand for Israel and our Jewish brothers and sisters.
I want you to make a commitment with me to stand with the will of God. Become a wall builder today with me… I want you to believe with me to repair and rebuild the walls and the foundations of our families, our communities, our nation, and for Israel.
The first thing Nehemiah did was he repented. He began to weep. Then he did 3 things: He prayed, he fasted and he sacrificed. When he did this in alignment with God’s will— he accomplished in 52 days what the people could not do in over 90 years!
I want you to be a part of a 52 day miracle like Nehemiah. What do we do?
- I am instructing you to pray daily, pick a time every morning to be with God and cry out to Him for your family, your community, our nation, and Israel.
- Take one day a week for the remainder of 2024 and fast. It can be from sunrise to sundown, or it can simply be one meal. Whatever you can do— do it.
- And we are to sacrifice as Nehemiah did. He reinstituted ALL of the offerings. I want you to lay a significant sacrifice at the altar with me just as Nehemiah and the believers did in the Bible! THIS BROUGHT FORTH THE 52 DAY MIRACLE!
