How do you identify a divine connection? The Shunammite woman provides a powerful blueprint:

1. Spiritual Perception
   She recognized Elisha as “a holy man of God.” This requires spiritual discernment – the ability to see beyond surface-level interactions and recognize the anointing and purpose in someone’s life. Not everyone who passes by is meant to be a divine connection.
2. Intentional Investment
   The woman didn’t just acknowledge Elisha – she created a dedicated space for him. She built a chamber with a bed, table, stool, and candlestick. This represents more than hospitality; it’s a deliberate investment in a spiritual relationship.
3. Obedience and Sacrifice
   Her obedience opened doors that seemed impossible. When her son died, her faith and connection to the prophet brought miraculous resurrection. Your divine connection requires more than passive observation – it demands active participation and faith.

What she built in OBEDIENCE became the platform for her PROMISE.

The Restoration Promise

God is not just interested in returning what you’ve lost – He wants to restore with increase. As demonstrated in the biblical account, the king not only restored the Shunammite woman’s land but gave her all the fruits from the time of her loss.

God used her obedience to unlock a promise that had been shut up—a son. And when that promise came under attack and died in her arms, she did what many fail to do: she returned to the altar of her investment. She laid the boy on the very bed she had prepared. 

                         She didn’t panic—she prophesied: “It is well.”

I declare over you today—no matter what has died in your life, no matter what looks lost: IT SHALL BE WELL!

You see, she had invested in a divine connection. And it was Elisha’s servant Gehazi who served as the bridge between her and the prophet. Gehazi was sent with Elisha’s staff to lay it upon the boy, but the boy did not awaken. Why? Because the promise doesn’t respond to casual contact—it responds to COVENANT.

There are things in your life that will only resurrect when you press beyond proximity and pursue PURPOSE.

Elisha came to the dead son himself in 2 Kings 4:32-35. He shut the door. He stretched himself out upon the child. And life came back. What does this mean? God is not just restoring your dreams—He is resurrecting what the enemy tried to keep you from: Your divine purpose and destiny by disrupting your DIVINE CONNECTIONS!

But there is more…

In 2 Kings 8, years later, after a famine, the Shunammite woman returned from exile and cried out for her land. At that precise moment, Gehazi was telling the king the testimony of her son’s resurrection. And the king said, “Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.” (2 Kings 8:6)

God is not just giving her back what was lost—He is giving interest on what the enemy tried to steal! This is not just restoration—this is DIVINE RESTORATION!

I believe:

• Every seed you have sown in tears will reap a harvest in joy.
• Every prayer you have prayed in the dark will be answered in the light.
• Every act of faith you have made in secret will be rewarded openly.

And the King proclaimed: “Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.” (2 Kings 8:6)
