Helping us provide school supplies, backpacks, haircuts, and more for Paula White Ministries’ Annual Back 2 School Outreach Event!

Pastor Todd Lamphere was on location with Paula White Ministries on Saturday, Aug 8th at Glad Tidings Academy, where we came alongside Glad Tidings Ministries, Cobaris Ministries, Toys for Tots, Good 360, and CityServe to be able to bless hundreds of kids for our Back to School Outreach Event 2026.

Children received toys at the event, Nike Air Jordans, food, haircuts, and of course much-needed school supplies and backpacks for the school year, as well as the love of Jesus.

They’re getting school supplies, backpacks, haircuts, shoes, bomba socks, and toys. I can’t think of a better way to spend our Saturday than to do this again. A precious mother named Angela at Glad Cuttings Academy was there for this amazing back-to-school bash event. She adopted six family members. She said, “I’m happy that we were able to take the children, but it does get a little difficult. So we thank God for days like today. My kids were able to get toys, and he’s over the moon with that. So just being able to be here and see that the community actually cares, and you’re doing such a great job for us. I can’t thank you enough.”

And we say thank you to Paula White Ministries Partners and Friends for helping make this such a special day for everybody, and especially for Angela and her six adopted family members.

Equipping Kids for Success

At the heart of the Back 2 School Outreach is a simple but powerful mission: to help children head into the school year with confidence, dignity, and the tools they need to succeed.

This year, students will receive backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, free food and more — all at no cost to their families. There will be fun activities and food served up with a side of joy and the love of Jesus.

For many parents, this event provides more than just material support— it brings relief in a time of financial stress.

A Legacy of Compassion

For over three decades, we have made it our mission to serve families during the back-to-school season. “It has always been my heart to help disadvantaged families get their children back to school with dignity, and it is a blessing for parents to have their children walking into school with brand-new supplies and backpacks.”

More Than an Event—A Movement

The Back 2 School Event is just one of many outreach efforts driven by Paula White Ministries, whose work continues to touch lives across the country. By partnering with like-minded organizations, PWM is able to extend its reach and serve even more families in need.

In a time when many are facing economic hardship, events like this remind us all of the power of community, compassion, and faith in action.

I want to tell you a true story about an unforgettable little girl I saw during one of our many outreaches years ago. She was about 5 years old, and she had put on a dress we had just given her with all the tags still on it.

She began twirling around like a little princess… such a pure expression of joy and life… I can still see her like it was yesterday. Suddenly she saw me and she cried out with excitement, and I’ll NEVER forget these words, “LOOK WHAT JESUS GAVE ME!”

This precious little child didn’t say, “Look what Pastor Paula gave me” or “Look what the ministry gave me.” To her, that beautiful dress came straight from Jesus… and it did. We were the hands that delivered His gift.

You can let little boys and girls in need see Jesus through you today! God is preparing you to display His glory so the world can see Him through the demonstration of your life. School bells will soon be ringing again across the country. For many children, the new school year is an exciting time. But for some… it’s a time of embarrassment and shame. Many children unfortunately, will not have the ability to arrive on the first day of school ready and prepared to be all that they can be – many children won’t have a backpack or school supplies.

I’m asking for your help to give hope, dignity, and a reason to smile!

Students whose families are too poor to purchase school supplies or even a backpack dread returning to the classroom. I know from experience that the shame of poverty can prevent students from focusing on learning. Knowing the spirit of poverty from my own experience is why I am so passionate about this!

I have witnessed these incredible events completely transform families every year. I have seen solemn, withdrawn boys and girls transform into children full of giggles and smiles. Full of God’s love. Some of these children have never had their own supplies or shoes to be proud of… But you can change that- because you cared!
