Paula White Ministries did something that hasn’t happened in 95 years…a public appreciation for our US border patrol agents and their families!
Just a few days ago, on July 13th in El Paso, TX, Pastor Paula brought together Dr. Jack Graham and Prestonwood Baptist Church, Dallas Texas, Convoy of Hope and Operation BBQ Relief to kick off the inaugural Operation Border Blessing Appreciation Tour.
Often the most wrongly vilified of all government agencies, the United States Border Patrol has been demonized by the media for simply upholding the law as they have done for all administrations. The 18,000+ agents who make up USBP are professional and compassionate in the way they have handled the crisis at the border. With all the negative attention aimed at them, Pastor Paula wanted to say THANK YOU!
Over 700 border agents and their family members experienced a day where they were loved on and appreciated, in a BIG way. With the amazing partnership of Prestonwood Baptist Church, a massive inflatable water park was erected on the property of Nuevo Pacto Church in El Paso.
Smiles and laughter filled the air as children played at the park and as agents and their spouses relaxed and enjoyed each others company in a safe, family friendly, positive environment.
Throughout the day, $2,500 in gift cards, ranging from spa services, restaurants and movies tickets, were provided to agents spouses and their children.
The families were blown away when they were given backpacks filled with school supplies and new shoes for their children. They stood in awe as they received over $86,000 in food supplies delivered by Convoy of Hope through their sponsoring agencies.
The day was topped off with a mouth watering BBQ dinner put on by award winning Operation BBQ Relief out of Memphis, TN.
The Bible tells us to give honor to whom honor is due. Over the next several months Paula White Ministries will be bringing the Operation Border Blessing Appreciation Tour to different sector stations located along the southern border. These events are open to all federal government employees.
