Paula White Ministries, StoryLife Church and the Jeremiah Project teamed up with Toussaint Boxing Gym to bring life to a rundown building that now serves as a boxing facility for at risk youth in the underserved South Apopka (FL) area.
With the expertise of Paula White Ministry partners JR and Yolany Estremera, owners of Ayopa Construction and founders of the Jeremiah Project, paint crews came in and totally transformed the inside of the gym. The Estremera’s believe that God blesses their business as they bless others. “The gym pops now! The before and after pictures are unbelievable! These young men need to know that are loved, valued and deserving of being invested into,” said Pastor Paula.
Coach Lou Toussaint felt called of God to open up a facility to get kids off the street and develop discipline in their lives. Toussaint, a faithful member of StoryLife Church and a Paula White Ministries partner, unashamedly points the young boxers to Jesus. “At the end of every training session I sit down with the young men and share life lessons that Jesus has taught me,” Toussaint said. Those attending the gym have improved their grades, have increased their attendance in school and have restored relationships with family members.
