I want to encourage you today with one of my favorite chapters in the Bible- Psalm 119.

If you have your Bible, do you want to turn there with me? Or click here to go there now

It is such a rich chapter, it’s so full. It’s actually the longest chapter in the Bible. And it’s really all about God’s word. I found in my own personal life, whether I’m on a mountain top or in a valley, whether something seems to blindside me or catch me off guard- I turn to God’s word.

I get great comfort out of this Psalm because it talks about the strength, it talks about the navigation, and it talks about how important it is to be filled with the Word of God.

John tells us that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was God. God doesn’t separate Himself from His Word. And so I encourage you. Proverbs 20 says, “The Lord makes the eye to see and the ear to hear…” Ask God to open your eyes. Ask God to open your ears. And as He does, as you get in His Word, you also get life, because in His Word is life, and life is His Word.

It’s easy for our eyes and our ears to be distracted, because our eyes are one of the ‘gates’. Sometimes we just have to shut out the noise. When we live in what is called “cancel culture,” and our nation is so divided right now and the church is so divided right now… and there’s messages flying in from everywhere and people don’t know where to “land”. Let me tell you where to land: Right here in The Word of God. Land on the foundation, that is your rock, and that is Jesus Christ.

He is faithful, He will not fail you. And though you cannot always see all things you cannot behold and have an understanding, because God will often tell you the end… Sometimes he does. Sometimes he doesn’t. His Word will tell you the way but He doesn’t always give you details to destiny.

What do you fix your eyes on his commandments?

What do we walk in?

Holy Spirit, I bring my body, I bring my mind, I bring my will, I bring my soul under subjection to You. And I walk out your commandments diligently.

So what’s the outcome when you do that? God’s outcome. And if God be for you, who can be against you?

Stay encouraged and know that God’s word according to Isaiah 55:11, will not return void, but it will prosper. That means that it will break through, it will break forth, and it will ultimately break out. It will break out that which is set today.

Isaiah 55:11 (ESV), “so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”

Stay in His Word, know His word, cherish His word, and guard His Word in your heart.

I am praying for you, my friend!!
