Joy to Houston: A Free Toy Fest Brings Hope to Thousands

That is why Paula White Ministries (PWM) joined RevivalTime Ministries (RTM) and thousands of eager children, who hand in hand with their parents, waited patiently with excitement and anticipation at RTM’s “Joy to Houston! A Free Toy Fest”, held at Imagen Arena in Houston, Texas. What unfolded was more than a toy giveaway, it was a powerful outpouring of love, hope, and the Gospel in one of Houston’s most underserved communities.
RevivalTime Ministries Founder Jonathan Shuttlesworth shared that the heart behind the event was simple yet profound: to take the love of Jesus and the message of the Gospel directly into the heart of a hurting city.
By intentionally hosting the event in a part of Houston where childhood poverty is among the highest, the ministry ensured that help reached families who needed it most.
The scale of “Joy to Houston” was nothing short of remarkable:
- Over 22,000 toys were distributed to children
- 500 dedicated volunteers served with joy and compassion
- More than 11,000 attendees filled the arena
- Hundreds of families responded to the Gospel, with over 700 salvations recorded
Children left with smiles on their face, toys in their arms and hearts full of joy. Parents expressed gratitude not only for the gifts, but for the hope and encouragement they received during the event.
Pastor Paula was thrilled to help procure the 22,000 toys. “Joy to Houston is a reminder that Christmas is not just about presents, but about presence- showing up for families, meeting needs, and sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.”
