Day of Gratitude Honors America’s Heroes in Historic Las Vegas Celebration

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — June 6, 2026 — More than 10,500 people gathered at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on June 6 for the historic Day of Gratitude, a national celebration honoring America’s veterans, active-duty military personnel, first responders, and their families. Held on the anniversary of D-Day and as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary observance, the event united faith leaders, nonprofit organizations, churches, community volunteers, and government officials in an unprecedented demonstration of appreciation and support.

Organized through a partnership between CityServe, Voice of the Veteran, and Love Has No Limits, the Day of Gratitude brought together over 400 volunteers, more than 40 churches, and over 90 veteran-serving organizations to provide resources, encouragement, and practical assistance to thousands of military families.

The event featured inspiring tributes and special appearances, including video messages from President Donald J. Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo attended the celebration, joining thousands in honoring the sacrifices of America’s service members.

A particularly moving moment occurred during a special D-Day tribute recognizing 13 World War II veterans in attendance. These members of “The Greatest Generation” received standing ovations from the crowd as the nation remembered their courage and service.

Attendees also enjoyed powerful musical performances from Coffey Anderson and country music duo Big & Rich, adding an atmosphere of celebration and gratitude throughout the day.

Churches Mobilized to Serve Veterans

One of the most impactful components of the Day of Gratitude extended beyond the stadium itself. Twenty churches throughout the Las Vegas area were transformed into “shopping experiences” where veterans and their families could receive household goods, supplies, toys, and other essential items completely free of charge.

Through the collaborative efforts of churches, ministries, and nonprofit partners, military families experienced tangible expressions of appreciation while connecting with resources designed to support their ongoing needs.

The recognition highlighted Pastor Paula’s longstanding advocacy for veterans, military families, and faith-based initiatives that provide practical and spiritual support to those who have served our nation.

Bringing Joy to Military Families

Paula White Ministries played a significant role in supporting the Day of Gratitude’s outreach efforts. Through partnerships with CityServe, World Vision, and the National Faith Advisory Board, PWM helped connect churches with veterans and military families while providing hundreds of thousands of dollars in gifts for children.

The gifts were distributed through the church-hosted shopping experiences across Las Vegas, creating memorable moments for military families and ensuring children felt celebrated and appreciated.

“Having been part of a military family, I know the stress military life can bring to a family,” Pastor Paula said. “I wanted to do something extra special for the children by providing these amazing gifts.”

The generosity of CityServe and its ministry partners resulted in more than $3 million in gratitude giftsbeing distributed during the event, demonstrating the power of faith-based organizations working together to serve those who have sacrificed for our nation.
