As we stand at the threshold of this new year, my spirit is stirred, and my heart is full. I declare 2026 is a divine appointment. This year will be defined by “Restoration, Revelation, and Revival.” It is a prophetic announcement. It is God’s plan for His people who will put Him first.
If you truly want to see lasting change and profound blessings in your life, I challenge you to put God first, in everything! For 2026, the Lord has emphasized that “this is a year where alignment determines assignment… and honor determines outpouring.” God is positioning those who honor Him first to walk in unprecedented restoration, fresh revelation, and revival.
According to Scripture, the “first” belongs to God — the beginning, the best, the first moments, the first thoughts, the first increase, the first return, the first fruit. This is a principle. And when you honor God first, He commands the blessing on the rest. The First Fruits offering isn’t just any offering…it is an act of covenant alignment.
This is the foundation for a life filled with purpose and fruitfulness. Scripture makes it clear, Matthew 6:33, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
It is a prophetic declaration: “God, You are first in my life. You are first in my household. You are first in my relationships. You are first in my finances. You are FIRST! This first month sets the pattern for the next eleven. What you do with the first determines what God does with the rest. When you bring God the “whole of the first,” you are declaring that everything that follows belongs under His blessing.
God desires His children to walk in blessing—spirit, soul, and body. From Genesis to Revelation, His heart for you is undeniable. Blessing is not limited to finances or material things. He doesn’t pour out abundance merely so you can accumulate “stuff.” He blesses you because you carry a mission. YOU ARE CALLED, APPOINTED, AND ANOINTED FOR IMPACT. God intends for you to be a blessing—an instrument of His Kingdom, a distributor of His goodness, and a carrier of His glory everywhere you go.
When Jesus declared to us in Matthew 6:33, “But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.” (AMP). God adds “things” to your life after you seek Him!
Obedience is the doorway to blessing, and sacrifice is often the key that unlocks it. I urge you—lean into the Spirit and be willing to lay something on the altar. Yes, it stretches us. Yes, it challenges our flesh. But God sacrificed more for us out of immeasurable love than we could ever fathom. And every “new level” He calls you to requires a new level of surrender.
Are you ready to step into a higher realm of financial breakthrough? Are you ready to operate in a new dimension of ministry? Do you carry “Next Level Dreams” that demand supernatural favor, acceleration, and divine provision?
If the foundation of your spiritual life isn’t rooted in putting God first, everything else you try to build, whether it’s your career, finances, relationships, or even your dreams, will fall short of its potential!
I believe this is a prophetic moment and an invitation from God Himself to set the foundation for your entire year… Most of the time, it’s not that we are doing something wrong—it’s that we haven’t done enough of what is right. FIRST FRUITS is God’s divine pattern for alignment, blessing, and increase. God must be first in every area of life!
The Hebrew word for First Fruits—bikkurim—literally means “promise to come.” And there is One who never breaks His promise: Almighty God.
It’s about God first, His ways first, and His Kingdom first. The Bible speaks of first fruits and devoted things more than 32 times—God is serious about His firsts!
The Bible says, “When you come into the land which I gave you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest” (Leviticus 23:10), and “Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best” (Proverbs 3:9).
The first represents the total. When you honor God with your possessions and the first fruits of your increase, , “your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow…” (Proverbs 3:10 NKJV). Right now, I declare that your obedience to honoring God will cause your barns to be filled with plenty and your vats to overflow in the name of Jesus!
The principle of first fruits is all about your heart toward God, an act of worship that goes far beyond money. Just as God gave His very best, His first and only Son for you, He asks you to honor Him by giving the first and the best of your increase… your time, your energy, your possessions, your attention.
God lays claim to the FIRST of ALL THINGS. It belongs to Him. When you activate the Principle of First Fruits, you step into divine order—where the first of the day, the week (the Sabbath), the first of the month, and the first of your increase are set apart unto the Lord as holy.
And when you honor God with your FIRST FRUITS, He unlocks the flow of “all these things” for the rest of the year. In faith, I prophesy that 2026 will be a Year of Fruitfulness, Blessing, and Abundant Overflow in your life as you put Him first!

Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us that when we “remember the Lord our God” with what is first, He gives us the power—the anointing, the strategy, the ability—to acquire wealth so that His covenant is established.
Every January, Jon and I set the pace for our year by sowing our sacrificial First Fruits offering. For nearly forty years of ministry, I have honored this principle. And every year, many join us, each giving God their best. Not because they “have to”… but because they GET to. It is not about the amount, it is about sacrificing what God lays on your heart, putting HIM FIRST. It has always been, and will always be, about honoring God.
I believe with all my heart that what you do with your “first” in the opening days, weeks, and month of 2026 will set the spiritual trajectory for your entire year. This is not casual. This is covenant. This is about putting God FIRST in a tangible, sacrificial, faith-filled way.
I challenge you to put First Things First and honor the Lord. Activate the Word.
