P. 10
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
1 John 1:9-10)
“I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions
to the LORD,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah”
(Psalms 32:5
“I will return again to my place, until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face, and in their distress
earnestly seek me.” Hosea 5:15

In times when we need His forgiveness (not when we need encouragement and accountability), do these

What is saving faith? Saving faith is personal trust in Jesus Christ as a real, historical person who died on
the cross for the forgiveness of your sins. Faith comes from the Greek word πίστις (pistis). The word
means ‘to commit and to trust.’ What do we need to know concerning the nature of Faith? There is so
much about faith in God’s Word! We could not possibly give a summary of this topic, but a few of the
most crucial things you need when you first come to know Christ are here for you.
Hebrews 11:1 tells us that faith is “being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
Perhaps no other component of the Christian life is more important than faith. We cannot purchase it, sell
it or give it to our friends. But we can pray for God to begin His good work in others’ lives and believe
that He will answer.
