We Are Laying the Foundation For the Rest of 2012 By Putting God First!

2012 is a new opportunity to release God’s provision in every area of your life! No matter what your situation has been up to this point, this is the time to get a release of His presence and provision in all that you set out to accomplish this year. For your household, your marriage, your career, your mind and well being, setting First Things First in all that you do!

Are you ready to “live the High Calling” life God meant for you to live? Are you ready to live an ultimate life with purpose, provision, blessings and fullness of His presence? It doesn’t matter where you are today or what your situation, the God I serve has an amazing life for you. Nothing is impossible with God!

One of the most powerful principles of God’s Word is that of first fruits. It is found in Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (NKJV). God says first things first! You will not experience the fullness of “abundant life” and promises of God without the foundation of first fruits.

It is prioritizing His presence in your life. It’s the order and accurate arrangement of things. The principle of first fruits provides the foundation and structure for God’s blessings in your life.

Putting Him first is a foundation principle that has transformed my life, and it can transform yours too! Keep FIRST THINGS FIRST, and God will take care of the rest.

The Hebrew meaning of First Fruits is “the first in place, time, order, or rank.” It also means the beginning, the chief or principle thing, God always lays claim to it.

God declares, “When you come into the land which I give you and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest” (Leviticus 23:10 NIV).

This divine establishment of God’s order is actually the root, the foundation that governs the rest. “For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches” (Romans 11:16 NKJV). The first represents the total. All firsts belong to God!

“Honor the LORD with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow . . .” (Proverbs 3:9–10 NKJV).

So, how do you implement the principle of First Fruits? Simply put, you KEEP FIRST THINGS FIRST in every area of your life by:

PRAYING/CONSECRATION. Give God the FIRST of your day. When you wake in the morning, seek Him with your FIRST thoughts and prayers. Talk to Him FIRST every day, before you do anything else. Come to Him with your needs and desires- family, career, financial recovery and blessings. He will honor your faithfulness!

PLANNING. As you are looking ahead in 2012, what are your goals? Seek clear direction from God for everything in your life. Write it down and keep it accessible daily. Let it get deep into your spirit.

MAKING AN OFFERING. Give your First Fruits offering in obedience to God’s command and see the activation of His promises. Your sacrificial offering will be a seed for blessings the remainder of the year. According to Ezekiel 44, when you present your First Fruits offering, it will cause a blessing to rest upon your house!

Often, it’s not that we are doing something wrong but not doing enough of what is right! This month is the most important of the year to establish what happens to the rest. You have a special opportunity to activate the principle of First Fruits as mandated in the Word of God.
